Hello lovelies! So I’ve been super busy trying to work on my personal businesses and myself before the year is up. If you follow me on Instagram, you will know that another beauty feature of mine was published in their October issue. It was on Winter Skincare and called ‘Winter Wonder Skin’. If you get a chance to, try and get hold of a copy and have a read!
This post is a little bit on the personal side. It was quite nice and a little emotional to have my feature written in a Black owned magazine on Black History Month. I was able to take a few minutes out of my day and have a serious read through the magazine. It really touched me to read some of the articles related to World issues, Africa and African- American actors/actresses in Hollywood.
It still pains me that my Race is still under attack, even in this day and age. I know that we will never be seen as 100% accepted on this Earth, but it is worse when your own people can’t accept you because they have been brainswashed into thinking, and having certain perceptions of themselves.
Whilst I understand that most of the views stem from the repercussions of slavery, it doesn’t mean that we can’t stick together and support one another.
Nevertherless, I can’t try and change everyone, but for those that know me personally, will know that I have been bought up knowing the History of my Ancestors, and I will continue to pass this down and educate my future children to love themselves, their skin and their heritage, even if the World around them doesn’t.
People of the World need to realise that no one is more important than the other. We are all going to leave this Earth one day in the same way, and you will not be favoured or exempt from this because of the colour of your skin or religion.
I hope this post inspires and encourages you to love yourself and your imperfections. After all, we are all one race…the Human Race! ❤️
