Good afternoon everyone, how was your week and weekend? I’ve decided to take a few chill pills for the next couple of weeks so I thought I’d spend some time pampering my skin trying out the Goddess Skin Clay Mask by Charlotte Tilbury and samples of the Aveeno moisturising lotion that I have never tried before.

Luckily, I don’t suffer from sensitive, acne or rashes on my skin so I can pretty much try anything. I also don’t have a specific facial routine a part from washing my face with fragrance free products such as dove pure soap or baby wash but on occassions such as these, I do like to try on a mask or two.

The Goddess Skin Clay mask comes out very fine and light so you don’t need a lot. I used a thin amount and evenly applied it over the face. It also has a nice fresh smelling rose scent adding to the pampering experience.

I kept it on for about 10 minutes and then washed off with warm water. My skin did not feel too dry after which is great! As I hate products that make my skin feel bone dry as soon as you wash them off and then turns white🙈

I then applied the Aveeno lotion onto my face. It has no scent as it’s fragrance free which is good for those with sensitive skin. I personally prefer fragranced products but I do think it’s a good habit to get into using fragrance free things as you’re exposing your skin to less harsh substances.

The lotion, again is quite light and I did not need a lot to moisturise my face. It absorved quickly too however, in my opinion, I would use this lotion in the Summer, as my skin is dark and my natural oils would come out due to the Sun but in the harsh months of Winter, I prefer to use slightly thicker creams as my skin would become and look drier.

I definitely would recommend these two products for you to try and I’m guessing that everyone’s cleansing regime would differ depending on your skin type and the environment/weather around you.
